Canary Wharf’s new district Wood Wharf is designed to provide a new residential-led, mixed-use, waterside community defined by the quality of its public spaces and the diversity of its buildings and activities. StudioFractal developed a comprehensive lighting masterplan for the entire site. Working alongside Allies and Morrison Architects, Herzog and de Meuron, Stanton Williams, Patel Taylor Architects and Wirtz landscape architects, StudioFractal have integrated lighting across buildings and landscaping to create a cohesive nighttime environment across the exemplary architecture and expansive public spaces. The site represents one of central London’s largest privately-owned development sites extending to 23 acres and is recognised as being of major importance on a local, national and international level. Completion is currently due in 2023.
The site-wide strategy developed by StudioFractal provided a technical framework for the integration of lighting throughout its nine acres of public spaces, squares and parks.
