StudioFractal were selected to help blend existing and new spaces within this major development into a cohesive retail experience. Working closely with the architects DunnettCraven, StudioFractal introduced a carefully detailed lighting strategy that accentuated the enlarged volumes and supported the architectural vision of creating an award-winning town centre destination.

Layers of integrated amenity and accent lighting illuminate the arcades with a distinctive use of colour, linking the new and existing retail environments to create a characterful visual environment as well as to assist in wayfinding and orientation. Bespoke lighting features provide visual definition at major circulation points and enhance the modern interiors. Energy-saving measures interwoven within the design and the overall high-quality of the refurbishment attracted award wins in the categories of Best Retail Centre and Sustainability.
